Publisher's Review:
Zoom Player 7.00
was originally conceived to fill a void in Multimedia playback. Prior to Zoom Player, playing media files on the PC was either overly simplistic for the Power User or overly cryptic to the common user. Zoom Player tries to both simplify the playback experience for the common user, while giving the Power Users all the tools and interfaces they may require to manipulate their playback environment to their exact specification.
To that end, Zoom Player employs a slick and simple user interface, combined with easy to access features while at the same time providing advanced control dialogs over every feature imaginable.
Zoom Player was designed from the ground up to load quick, take as little system resources as possible, provide user feedback/direction as appropriate and maintain as much isolation from other applications and system components as not to undermine overall stability.
Zoom Player is fully scalable, supporting all the latest media formats and interfaces.
Introduction (more info on http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/featuredetail.shtml):
Zoom Player while looking very simple at first glance, supports a lot of features and functions. On this page you will find an in-depth description of each major feature.
Specific DVD Features (All DVD features require Zoom Player Professional):
"DVD Front-End navigation using any DirectShow compatible combination of DVD Decoder filters in Overlay, VMR7 and VMR9 modes."
Zoom Player as a DVD Front-End can use any combination of DVD Decoding filters, combined with any post-processing filters to achieve the best possible image. This includes support for advanced Video Rendering hardware interfaces such as Overlay, VMR7 and VMR9.
"Point and Click DVD Graph integration, including automatic inclusion of Audio and Video Processing filters (including DMO)."
Configuring advanced combination of filters for DVD Playback is as simple as point and click.
"DVD Overlay and VMR9 Hardware Color Controls including an easy to use on-screen interface (For cards that support it)."
Support for Hardware (no CPU impact) Color Controls (Hue/Saturation/Brightness/Contract/Gamma) with an easy to use on-screen interface on display cards that support the Hardware interface.

- If a fullscreen navigation interface is visible, right-clicking it will show a "Close Navigator" option.
- New Setting (Adv. Options / Playback - On Playlist Complete) allowing you to play the next file in the directory with the same file extension.
- New Setting (Adv. Options / Playback / BluRay) allowing you to specify when a detected BluRay playlist containing HD content of a specified duration will be detected as the main movie over an SD (DVD quality) of longer duration.
- New Setting (Adv. Options / Playback / Video / Subtitles) allowing you to specify the subtitle synchronization adjustment value used by the subtitle synchronization functions.
- New Setting (Adv. Options / Interface / Control Bar), allowing you to auto-hide the control bar after the specified number of seconds even when playback is paused.
- Fixed a video stuttering issue when using certain video renderers with Aero Desktop Composition enabled (Windows 7/Vista).
- An "ACCESS VIOLATION 00000000 READ ADDRESS 00000000" error when using the advanced playlist control has been fixed.
- Using the previous chapter function with only one chapter would go to the previous track rather than seeking to the first chapter.
- When enabling "Close on Inactivity" for the fullscreen navigation interfaces, Opening a navigation interface through the SendMessage WinAPI command would have caused the dialog to time-out and close instantly
